Builders Battling Hunger

The AHBA is excited to announce the annual “Battle of the Builders” member competition is back! Each year our Builder members compete in a charity drive with the intention to raise donations and awareness for a local charity. After realizing the growing urgency to care for the hungry in our area, we have decided to proclaim this year’s competition as “Builders Battling Hunger” with the proceeds benefiting Manna Food Bank. Our builder members are encouraged to collect non-perishable food items and monetary donations over a 30 day period in order to create awareness for this worthwhile organization and to fight against hunger in our community.

The builder who collects the most cans will be crowned “Mr. HBA” during our Annual Christmas Gala on December 12, 2008!

We will keep a running tally of the builders’ progress here so check in often to see the stats! If you would like to participate in this year’s competition, please fax the Builder Pledge Form to the AHBA at 299-7008.

We are excited for the opportunity to step up in our community and make a difference in the battle against hunger. Manna Food Bank is a great organization that works to fill the needs of those in our community and we are honored to hold a canned food drive to help out in anyway we can.
