Ladies-
Attached is the PDF for the EPA Course we are offering on Jan 12, 2010. We can hold up to 10 people and then after that put them on a waiting list ( we may be able to add the waiting list to make the class 20 if we get enough but I don’t’ want to commit to that until we get 10).
Christi can you add this to the website Calendar. Also if you can add it to the AHBA announcements page – KC can show you how to add it if you don’t know yet! For adding to the announcements we will want to place small paragraph of info like:
EPA Certified Renovators Course Offered – January 12, 2010!
New EPA training requirements are now in place for Certified Renovators. The new EPA rules apply to contractors who renovate or repair housing, child-care facilities or schools built before 1978. Under the new rules, trained contractors and workers must follow lead-safe work practice standards to reduce potential exposure to dangerous levels of lead during renovation and repair activities. The requirements apply to anyone who could potentially expose children to lead dust during their work and includes builders, painters, plumbers, and electricians. In April 2010, this certification will become MANDATORY for anyone who could potentially expose children to lead dust. The AHBA is pleased to offer this course at a rate of $255 for members and $335 for non-members. This course has a 1:10 teacher to student ratio so space is limited – we will accept up to 10 students. Click here to download the sign up form and fax or email the office today to reserve your spot!
